Three teachers receive "Superintendent's Award"
Posted on 03/09/2018
Any school district is only as good as its teachers, and Maine Township HIgh School District 207 is fortunate enough to have outstanding teachers throughout the District, many of whom go above and beyond in ways that sometimes earn recognition beyond the District.

During the March 5 Board of Education meeting, Superintendent Dr. Ken Wallace took note of three such instances, as he presented Superintendent’s Awards to Karen Hall and Shelby Riha of Maine East and Carrie Saurer of Maine South. Fine Arts teachers Hall and Saurer recently received Tony nominations for excellence in Theatre Education. Riha, who teaches AP Environmental Science and sponsors the Maine East Ecology Club, was recently named Teacher of the Year by Friends of the Chicago River.

Congratulations to all for this much-deserved recognition.
