Your student’s future after high school is an important milestone, whether they choose to enroll in college, enter the workforce, pursue a skilled trade, or serve in the military. As we move into the final stretch of the 25-26 school year, many of our junior students and families are actively exploring post-secondary plans. Therefore, we want to share information about an opportunity that may help simplify the college admissions process.
What is the One Click Admit Program?
The One Click Admit Program, created by the State of Illinois, offers students a more streamlined and stress-free college admissions experience for most of the state’s public universities and all Illinois community colleges. Through this program, students may receive direct admission opportunities at participating institutions.
Students who qualify may receive admission offers without needing:
- Essays
- Application fees
- Letters of recommendation
How to Participate
To participate in the program:
- Parents/guardians must opt in by May 22 (click here for guiding directions on this process).
- Families will complete an opt-in form requesting basic information (i.e. name and address)
- By opting in, families give the district permission to upload the student’s sixth-semester GPA to the Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC) portal to support this opportunity.
What Happens Next?
- During fall of senior year, participating colleges will review GPAs
- Schools may send direct admission offers to eligible students
- Students should create a Common App account, where students will be able to review and accept offers
Important Notes
- Participation in the One Click Admit Program is completely optional
- Students who do not opt in, or who do not meet GPA criteria, can still apply through the traditional college application process
College Planning Resources for Juniors
Families can access college planning materials through:
- Each school’s CCRC website
- Students’ Google Classrooms (accessed with their student email)
Additional junior programming and post-secondary planning support will continue throughout the spring and summer as students prepare for senior year.
Upcoming Virtual Workshops
The ISACorps will host virtual workshops to help families complete the opt-in process:
- March 18 – 6:00 PM
- March 26 – 12:00 PM

Questions?
Please contact your student’s school counselor if you have any questions.
We look forward to supporting your student through the remainder of junior year and the transition into senior year planning.
